Wrong storage may lead to Mastiha tears sticking to each other and becoming one hard mass. In this case you can place it in the freezer for a few hours and then break it up into smaller pieces or even powder in order to consume it as desired. Any change of the form due to wrong storage conditions does not cause any alteration of its properties. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Always store Mastiha in its original packaging tightly closed. Keep in a dry & cool place that will not exceed 64°F or 18°C for up to one week. For periods longer than 7 days and during the summer always store at below 57.2°F or 14°C.
